Pacific Group Associates SD Hosts Casino Night To Raise Money For Operation Smile

Pacific Group Associates SD gathered members of the company and family and friends to participate in a charity event to raise money for Operation Smile.  The newly formed company has partnered with the organization in an attempt to help local businesses raise money for an entire mission for the charity.

Pacific Group Associates SD is a sales and marketing firm located in San Diego.  The company, which opened its doors in late spring of this year, is hired by national corporations to acquire and retain business accounts.  The company specializes in bridging the gap between the large national service providers and the business owners who use the services.  

Operation Smile is a non-profit organization founded in 1982.  The organization is an international charity providing surgeries to children born with cleft lips.   Since inception, Operation Smile has worked with medical volunteers to provide more than 2 million patient evaluations and over 200,000 free surgeries for children and young adults born with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.  Operation Smile is known as one of the most prominent children’s charities in the world and currently has a presence in over 60 countries.

Over the past couple of years, Pacific Group Associates’ clients have taken interest in raising money for the charity in an attempt to raise $150,000 for the cause, an amount that would be able to fund an entire mission to a third world country in need of the services.  When Pacific Group Associates SD opened its doors, they decided to help out with the mission.  The casino night is the second event Pacific Group has participated in.  They also joined local businesses in a charity basketball tournament for Operation Smile.  

“I knew when I started the company that I wanted to make sure we gave back to the community. We have big goals to accomplish and one of those is to make an impact beyond the one we make with our customer, clients and employees.  I am excited to be surrounded by a team of people that feel the same way,” explained Carl Uhl, President of Pacific Group Associates SD.

Pacific Group Associates SD has doubled in size since inception and plans to continue volunteering as they grow.  The company plans to have multiple locations by the end of the year and complete its goal of raising over for Operation Smile, as well as volunteering for at least one other charity.  Pacific Group Associates SD has set up a Smile Page on the Operation Smile website so people can donate or  simply follow their progress.

Pacific Group Associates SD, Inc., a San Diego based sales consulting and marketing firm, celebrated its first day in business on May 31st, 2011. The newly formed corporation specializes in client acquisition and retention.


The company, currently based out of the Mission Valley region of San Diego, was established to act as the middle man that bridges the gap between large corporate services and the business owners who use the service. Instead of creating an internal client acquisition team, corporations are now able to hire Pacific Group Associates SD to handle the work load.


Pacific Group Associates SD, Inc. was established by Carl Uhl, graduate of University of California Riverside and former outfielder with the Philadelphia Phillies Organization. Once leaving baseball and returning to California, Uhl began working as an Account Consultant for a sales firm in Riverside. He was quickly promoted within the company and established a track record of success with his clients.


In April 2011, Uhl was offered a contract of his own and was able to establish Pacific Group Associates SD. The current client is one of the oldest and largest business supply company in the country. Uhl initially hired eight associates to begin working with the client and since has doubled in size to keep up with the work load.


“I am excited about the team we have established. The work load is growing fast and even though we have already had to hire another eight people, we will not be able to stop there. We will have to grow even more within the next months,” explains Uhl, President of Pacific Group Associates SD, Inc. “We know we have the ability to work with new clients and are already talking about expansion.”


Uhl expects the company to take on two new clients within the next 16 months and plans to expand to at least four new locations in the next 3 years.# # #

Pacific Group Associates SD is planning a trip to Puerto Rico.  We believe the executives here at the company are hard working individuals who deserve recognition for their efforts.  We have set up goals to reward the outstanding performers with a 4 day trip to Puerto Rico for rest and relaxation.  Pacific Group Associates SD will be making this an annual trip to various locations.

“When I started the company, I knew a large portion of what we were going to accomplish would have to do with the caliber of our leadership. I thought it was important to have a section devoted to leadership and coaching so that my team could access resources that would help them grow as we grow,” Uhl goes on to explain.

A Great First Week In Business

We wrapped our first week in business and are excited about what we have already accomplished.  We have doubled in size already and are expecting to take on enough work in the coming months to be able to double in size again. We are already talking about expansion. 

We offer a unique service that allows us to grow at an exponential rate.  The clients we are contracting with offer services that all businesses need.  Therefore, we are able to market their services to a large pool of clients.  Even when a business is hit by the economy, they are still in need of the services our clients have us representing for them.

As we grow, more responsibilities are being created and it is exciting to see the team step up and take on these promotions.  We are already excited to continue growing well into the next year.

May 31st 2011 marks the first day in business for the team at Pacific Group Associates SD.  The company is a sales and marketing firm located in San Diego. 

 President, Carl Uhl, established the company after working as a consultant for a business to business sales and marketing firm.  With his reputation of outstanding work among his clients, he obtained his first contract to represent one of the oldest and largest office supply companies in the country.  The company plans to quickly double in size within its first 6 months and has plans to open 2 new locations within the next 16 months.
